Solid State Logic’s new MPL 16-8 stagebox brings IP-native audio routing to compact live and studio setups. Debuting at IBC 2025, it’s tailored for flypacks and light installations accessing the System T platform without excess cost.
The MPL 16-8 occupies just 2 rack units and delivers 16 mic/line inputs paired with 8 line outputs, fully integrated into Dante networks. Dual etherCON RJ45 ports support primary and redundant link paths, ensuring reliable connectivity where failure isn’t an option.
Its internal SSL mic preamps provide a +5 dB to +60 dB gain range, adjustable in precise 1 dB steps. This accuracy makes it a reliable workhorse for both sensitive ribbon mics and pro-level sources. Selectable 48 kHz or 96 kHz operation ensures compatibility across modern system architectures.
At a glance, the MPL 16-8 removes cost and complexity from IP integration—without trimming away sonic integrity. It fits into System T’s TCA-based environments with plug-and-play ease, offering single-console routing and stage flexibility. Whether deployed in broadcast mixing, location rigs, or lean installs, it brings SSL-class clarity in a compact, IP-native package.
