Neural DSP has released CorOS 3.2.0 for the Quad Cortex floor unit and Cortex Control 1.3.0 for its desktop editor. This update enhances plugin integration and workflow tools with greater hardware reliability and performance utility.
Plugin support now includes Archetype: Cory Wong X, Archetype: Nolly X, and Parallax X as native Quad Cortex devices—eliminating earlier compatibility workarounds and expanding the hardware’s tonal palette.
New utility tools include a Live Tuner accessible from Gig View and an internal Metronome via the Tempo menu, plus a major looper enhancement: Pre-Roll, customizable loop lengths from 1 to 32 bars, footswitch-assignable actions, and metronome sync.
Workflow refinements bring a Follow Input mode for side-chain devices that auto-detects active signal paths, dimmable LEDs across modes, and “Previous/Next” navigation in Scene Editor for faster editing.
Under the hood, ESS codec support prepares the Quad Cortex for new hardware revisions, simplifying input handling while maintaining audio quality. For current users, patching between old and new models remains seamless.
This release strengthens the bridge between Neural DSP’s software and hardware ecosystems. Direct plugin integration, practical live performance tools, refined loop control, and future-proof hardware support make CorOS 3.2.0 and Cortex Control 1.3.0 a significant quality-of-life upgrade for both stage and studio work.
